The most personal gift you can offer a family
Prima Persona partners with attorneys, family offices, and wealth managers who guide families through their most significant life decisions.
The transfer ahead
The hardest thing to pass down is not the wealth.
Your clients will pass on their assets with great care. Far fewer pass on the founder’s voice, the reasoning behind the hard decisions, or the story of how it all began. That is what heirs need to carry a family forward, and it is lost within a generation unless someone records it. We put it on film while it can still be told firsthand.
Why it matters
USC, 2013
Ensure a continuity of values
USC’s Longitudinal Study of Generations followed more than 350 four-generation families over 35 years and found remarkable continuity of beliefs and values from parents to children. Warm, affirming relationships mattered most, and grandparents had a surprisingly strong influence.1
Psychology Today, 2023
Parents’ stories give meaning and purpose
Research at Emory University found that the stories young adults know about their parents’ lives predict their well-being more strongly than the stories they tell about themselves, and go hand in hand with a greater sense of meaning and purpose.2
Allianz and Age Wave, 2005
Values and life lessons outrank money
In the Allianz American Legacies Study of 2,627 baby boomers and their elderly parents, 77% named values and life lessons as the most important part of a legacy. Both generations rated these nonfinancial legacies ten times more important than financial ones.3
What a film does for the families you advise
The why behind the documents
A trust sets out what passes and to whom. A film keeps the reasons: the values behind each decision, told by the person who held them, for the day an heir asks what they were thinking.
A shared record for the family table
Family meetings run on documents and good intentions. A film gives the family council the founder’s own account to return to when a hard decision comes up in a room they are no longer in.
The next generation, already involved
Children and grandchildren take part in the interviews and gather for the first screening. It is a natural first meeting between you and the heirs, through their family’s story rather than across a desk.
You introduce. We do the rest.
A sentence from you
Mention us to a client, or forward the short note in your partner kit. Your name opens the door. There is no cost to you and nothing to manage.
A private conversation with the family
We meet the family for a relaxed, no-obligation consultation to learn who they are and whether a film is right for them. What they tell us stays with them.
Every detail, end to end
From the first planning call to the finished film and its private archive, every detail is ours. Your client lifts not a finger, and you hear from us only as your client wishes.
For our partners
What you receive
Everything you need to raise a film with confidence, and a few quiet ways to offer one to the clients who matter most to your practice.
Included
The partner kit
A film, a brief, and a note
A private link to our feature film, a one-page brief on how a commission works, and a short introduction you can forward as it is.
Client evenings
A private screening, hosted by you
Gather a small group of clients for an evening around one of our films and a conversation with the filmmakers. We bring the film; you bring the room.
Milestone gifts
A film as your gift
For a client’s milestone birthday, an anniversary, or the sale of a family business, a commission can be arranged as your gift, planned quietly and on your timeline.
Made by filmmakers, one family at a time
Every film is crafted by a team of award-winning industry veterans, from the first question to the final cut. Our founders studied filmmaking at Princeton, and the studio began with a documentary our founder made about his own grandmother.
Our principles
Their voice, never ours
We never script, dub, or fabricate. What is said is theirs, recorded as it was spoken, and written into the contract. No part of the voice or likeness is ever generated.
Shaped to the client’s liking
A life is not a deposition. We ask what your client wants the next generation to understand and how they’d like to be seen, and we build the film around it.
Made to be kept
Every film is finished to a cinematic standard and built to outlast everyone in it, delivered with a private archive of everything, held in the family’s name.
